Remote signing keeps the key in a secure module rather than on a card in somebody's pocket. That is convenient, and it raises an obvious question: what stops the key being used without the owner knowing?

XNOR Authorize is the answer to that question. Nothing is signed until the signatory has seen the request on their own phone and approved it with their own face or fingerprint.

How it feels to use

A notification arrives

Something is waiting for your signature. The phone tells you as it happens, whether the app is open or not.

You see what it is

Who asked, what document, and when. Enough to recognise the request you were expecting — and to notice one you were not.

You approve, or you don't

Face or fingerprint, and the signature is released. Decline, and nothing happens. Either way the decision is yours and it is recorded.

Why it counts as your signature

Each approval is tied to the one request it was given for. It cannot be reused, replayed against a different document, or stretched to cover a batch you never saw. That binding is what makes a remote signature yours in the way the law intends — sole control, exercised by you, for that document.

The app never holds your key. It carries your decision to the service that does, which is a far smaller thing to trust to a phone.

Practical matters

iPhone and Android

One app, both platforms, using each one's own secure hardware for the biometric check rather than a lookalike built on top.

Your identity provider

Signatories sign in with the account they already have. We do not ask an organisation to maintain a second directory just for signing.

Your name on it

The app can carry your branding and go into the stores under your own name — for a trust service provider, that is usually the point.

Open standards where they exist

It speaks the Cloud Signature Consortium interface as well as its own, so it is not a dead end if the service behind it changes.

Pair it with your signing service

XNOR Authorize sits in front of a remote signing service — yours, or one we help you stand up alongside xRA. Tell us what you run today.
